Mr. Ness has over 40 years of experience in the real estate business specializing in areas of land acquisition, site design, entitlement, land development and homebuilding. His emphasis on cost analysis and design as well as keeping schedules has consistently saved time and money. Twenty of his 40 years have been spent at the executive level with both local and national builders. Steve worked for both Carrhomes as Vice President for over 9 years as well as Executive Vice President for Lennar Homes, the nation's 2nd largest builder, managing land development and operations for the Mid-Atlantic Division for 7 years. Steve also had the honor of being one of the youngest Vice President's at Kettler Brothers, Inc. Steve has been responsible for finishing over 5,000 lots in more than 13 jurisdictions throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.
Mr. Ness is active in his community and has served as President of the Rotary Club of College Park and currently serves as Treasurer. He also served on the Finance Committee for Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park with a Bachelor's degree from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, with a specialization in Urban Studies and Land Use Planning. He has been married to his wife Melanie since 1987 and they have been blessed with two sons, two daughters and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Twigg has over 46 years of experience in the real estate finance and investment business. His role is to bring together the perfect blend of financing and private equity capital to each project to ensure proper return on investment for all involved parties. Early in his career, Mike worked for the National Housing Partnership pulling together investors for projects throughout the United States. For the past 25 years, he has served at the executive level for major national mortgage companies including National City Mortgage and MetLife Home Loans responsible for some of their most successful regions.
Mr. Twigg is active in his community and has served as President of the Rotary Club of College Park, President of the Field of Firsts Foundation which supports the College Park Aviation Museum, the Dean's Cabinet of the College of Arts & Humanities (University of Maryland), and Treasurer of the Board of Visitors (University of Maryland School of Music). He is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BA degree in History. He has been married to his wife Sandy since 1987 and they have two sons.
